Welcome to the Association of California Directors of Vocational Nursing Programs Website

Directors of Vocational Nursing Programs!

Join Us in Making a Difference

We hope that you will consider joining the ACDVNP. We have meetings four times per year in sundry locations in Southern California. Our very productive meetings include animated discussions about lobbyists and legislators, pending legislation, ways of educating the community about health related issues, publishers, vendors for nursing products, and lots of networking. New VN directors would find our group helpful to you, your programs, and your students. We often discuss our budgets, the BVNPT, and our bosses.

If you need further information, please see the Contact Us page for links to our Board Members.

bullet Talking Points Letter to Legislators about LVN Role
Letter to Legislators (Word doc)
This is a letter that can be sent to California legislators. The SCDVNP encourages that this letter be made available to both faculty and students. It should be made clear to each individual and institution that this letter can, and probably should, be individualized to his/her own circumstances. The most effective use of the letter would be to send it to all of your legislators as individuals, rather than in a group. Many thanks to the Program Directors for their assistance with this project. Please feel free to contact me about the letter, its issues, or other: mkowalsk@cerrocoso.edu
