Opportunities
Annually, the ACDVNP provides opportunities for professional growth.
Common topics of seminars or workshops directly address the practical
everyday problems of nursing instructions. In the past, workshops
included a seminar titled, "The Scoop on Scope: Updates on the
Vocational Nurse Practice Act". These workshops may be used as
Continuing Education Hours for RNs.
Quarterly Meetings
At the quarterly meetings, guest speakers, educational resources, or
publishers of nursing texts often provide updates on their products and
services that relate to fields of interest for Directors and Instructors
of Vocational Nursing Programs. Whenever possible, coffee, snacks,
and/or lunch are provided.
